Unlock public health

CIPHER is dedicated to improving New York citizens’ public health literacy by increasing the accessibility and transparency of health information.

The Citizens’ Public Health Literacy program strives to bridge this gap through community-based participatory research approaches. Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health graduate students and faculty, equipped with critical feedback from community partners, aim to develop an online public health training curriculum positioned to increase participants’ understanding of basic public health concepts and empower them to identify reputable research and public health sources.
